The SportsPro+™ perform supplement contains a live bacterial culture, Bifidobacterium longum 1714-Serenitas®. The live bacterial cultures in food supplements do not stay in the gut after you stop taking the supplement; the bacteria will be naturally excreted. To be sure of a sustained effect from SportsPro+™ perform, you need to keep taking your daily capsule.

To ensure this natural culture reaches your gut with its properties intact, we have created a special formulation that is stable at room temperature and does not need refrigeration. 

A single capsule of SportsPro+™ perform contains 1 billion (1x109) Bifidobacterium longum 1714-Serenitas® colony forming units (CFUs), at the time of manufacture. CFUs are an indication of how many live bacterial cells are present. The number of bacteria in each SportsPro+™ perform capsule has been chosen for optimal efficacy. 

Whenever you like but we advise waiting 30 minutes after taking the capsule before eating. Note that hot or acidic cultures can damage the live 1714-Serenitas® culture. We recommend taking it with water, milk or less acidic drinks such as soya, almond or rice milks.

Yes but, as with most live bacterial supplements, a dose of antibiotics could inactivate the live Bifidobacterium longum 1714-Serenitas® bacterial culture in SportsPro+™ perform. If you are prescribed a course of antibiotics, we advise that it is best to take the dose of the antibiotic at a different time of day to when you take your daily SportsPro+™ perform capsule. Always complete the course of antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor.

Vitamin B is a water-soluble vitamin so the levels of vitamin B in SportsPro+™ perform together with Zenflore® are well below daily supplement levels likely to cause any adverse effects. (E.g. UK guidance* lists safe upper levels for daily vitamin B supplements. These are all substantially higher than the daily supplemental intake of vitamin B for someone taking both products).
